Community races: where the list comes from and how to add one
The shared race catalogue is fed by races other athletes have shared and events collected from public race listings, all reviewed before they appear. Here is how to add your own.

The race list you can browse in IntervalCoach is a shared catalogue of real events. Here is where it comes from, and how to add a race to it yourself.
Where the community race list comes from
Two things feed it:
- Races shared by other athletes. When someone adds a race to their calendar, they can choose to share it publicly. That entry goes into the shared catalogue so other people can find it.
- Events collected from public race listings. I also pull in events from public race calendars, so the list is not limited to what users have manually added.
Everything is reviewed before it appears. A shared race starts as pending and only becomes visible once it has been checked, which keeps duplicates and junk entries out of the list.
How do I add a race to the list?
You add it the same way you add any race, and tick the share option:
- Add the race to your calendar as you normally would.
- In the race details, turn on the option to share it publicly.
- If you have it, add the official event or registration link. It helps the review and makes the entry more useful for everyone else.
Once it passes review, other athletes will see it in the race catalogue.
How do I use a race someone else shared?
Browse the race catalogue when you are setting a goal, pick the event, and it gets added to your own calendar. From there you can set it as your A, B or C race, and your plan will build phases and a taper toward it.
