How a completed activity is matched to your planned workout
Why your ride shows under the plan's name, what compliance means, what to do when the wrong session is matched, and how a race is recognised.

When you finish a ride or run, it is linked to the workout you had planned for that day. That link decides what your calendar marks as done, how the session is scored and which plan the analysis compares it to. Here is how it works.
Who decides the match
Intervals.icu pairs a completed activity with a planned workout on the same day and in the same sport. IntervalCoach follows that pairing on the calendar, in Today's Plan and in Coach+. When Intervals.icu leaves an activity unpaired, IntervalCoach pairs it with its own planned session for that day when it clearly fits.
Why my ride shows under the planned workout's name
Once a ride is paired, IntervalCoach shows it under the name of the planned workout, so you can see which session it completed. The activity keeps its own name in Intervals.icu and on Strava. Searching for it by its own name in Coach+ still finds it.
What compliance means
Compliance is the training load you did divided by the load that was planned, as a percentage. 100% means you did the planned load; above 100% means more, which is common. It does not judge how well you hit each interval: that is what the workout analysis is for. An activity that is not paired to any plan has no compliance, so 0% there means "not paired", not "did nothing".
The wrong session was matched
Intervals.icu pairs the first activity of the day in that sport. If you rode twice, a short spin in the morning can take the pairing from the real session later. When the paired ride was clearly much harder than an easy planned session, IntervalCoach keeps the session open and lets the ride that fits it take the pairing.
To fix a match yourself, open the activity in IntervalCoach and choose Unlink from planned workout in its menu. The activity stays; the planned workout counts as open again. You can also change the pairing on the activity in Intervals.icu.
How a race is recognised
A completed activity counts as your race when it is marked as one in Intervals.icu: open the activity there and set its sub-type to Race. Neither IntervalCoach nor support can link a finished activity to a race event for you; the sub-type is what tells us.
